Damaris Torres-Pulliza
I am a PhD candidate in Quantitative Ecology currently stationed at the Hawai'i Institute of Marine Biology. My research interests revolve around the use of geospatial technological advances to understand the roles of habitat structure in coral reef ecosystems and quantify structural change as a consequence of higher frequency of intensified climatic extremes, like storms and bleaching events. My geospatial experience so far has given me a multi-disciplinary grounding in the fields of geography, geology and more recently, seascape ecology.
